Daryl Benkendorfer, PLA - Founder / Managing Principal

A native Texan with more than four decades of experience, Daryl is driven by a passion for purposeful, functional design. His career journey has been shaped by deep-rooted relationships and strong traditional values. Among his proudest achievements are mentoring current and past employees and witnessing their growth and success. Daryl is recognized for his strong technical knowledge, allowing him to translate creative concepts into practical solutions. His commitment to earning his clients’ trust has forged professional relationships that often span decades. A third-generation Aggie and two-time “Aggie 100” honoree, Daryl remains deeply connected to Texas A&M, frequently contributing his time and expertise. Away from work, Daryl cherishes his marriage to his 40+ year middle-school sweetheart, his two children, and two grandchildren. He also enjoys days on the water fly fishing and touring local plant nurseries.

Orlando Torres - Partner

Orlando brings over 25 years of experience in landscape architecture and project management, with a deep commitment to quality control and meticulous attention to detail—particularly in accessibility and hardscape construction. As a partner at the firm, he plays a key role in delivering projects that are both visually compelling and functionally sound. Known for his hands-on leadership style, Orlando ensures that every phase of a project meets the highest standards. Outside of work, he’s a dedicated family man with a passion for sports, and he enjoys spending his free time working on cars and perfecting his BBQ skills.

Darla Willoughby

Darla Willoughby - Operations Manager

Darla is the firm’s behind-the-scenes powerhouse, serving as both Operations Manager and head of the Billing Department. With a sharp eye for organization and a steady hand on the day-to-day flow of the business, she ensures everything runs smoothly—from schedules and systems to client billing and internal coordination. Her calm, solutions-focused approach keeps the team grounded and efficient. Outside of work, Darla and her husband are proud parents to three college-aged kids. Together, they love to travel and are always on the lookout for new restaurants and hidden culinary gems to explore.

Steven Reddy, PLA - Studio Director

A Texas A&M graduate, Steven brings over 40 years of landscape architecture experience with a strong background focusing on multifamily design, accessibility, hardscape construction and fine grading. Early is his career, Steven transitioned from a landscape architectural firm in New Mexico to the North Texas region and has since participated in a wide variety of projects in both scope and scale. His attention to detail and pursuit of excellence over the years has produced numerous quality projects and ensured many loyal clients.

Scott Scroggs, PLA - Senior Associate

Scott is a Senior Associate Landscape Architect and has been with B+A since 2015. He has spent his time specializing in project management, quality control and detailed design. He oversees a variety of project types at B+A and stays involved from start to finish. Outside of work, Scott and his wife (both landscape architects), enjoy traveling abroad and seeking out unique restaurants and site seeing. He also finds time to connect with nature, especially through birding—an interest that reflects his broader appreciation for the outdoors and sustainability. This, along with his appreciation for art and architecture, often finds its way into his design approach, bringing a new perspective and depth to his work.

Scott Falco, PLA - Senior Associate

Originally from the northeast, Scott is a West Virginia University graduate with 40 plus years experience in landscape architecture, 30 of which in North Texas. During his career he has focused on hardscape construction to include grading/drainage and accessibility plus has previous experience in sediment/erosion control and wetlands delineation. He is always up for a site visit to remedy any construction issues and has a good knowledge of plant material in different regions of the country.

Scott and his wife are animal lovers and always have a house full of rescue critters. They are huge wine enthusiasts and enjoy finding new vineyards plus always exploring the restaurant scene looking for new and creative dining venues.

Nathan Barsanti - Project Manager

A Purdue University graduate and former NCAA Division I swimmer, Nate brings discipline, focus, and a strong work ethic to every new design. Originally from California, Nate is a socially responsible designer who draws inspiration from the natural world and a lifelong love of the outdoors. As a Project Manager, Nate combines technical expertise with a passion for sustainable, community-focused design. Outside the office, he is an avid cyclist and competitive racer, constantly seeking new ways to stay connected to the landscapes he helps shape.

Brian Arthur - Project Manager

With over 25 years of experience in landscape architecture, Brian has built a career focused on designing sustainable, functional, and inspiring outdoor spaces. His expertise includes commercial, public, and high end multifamily projects, where he blends creativity with a commitment to quality and detail. As a project manager of the firm, Brian plays a key role in shaping projects that balance design excellence with functionality. Outside of work, he’s a devoted husband and father of two who enjoys spending time at the lake fishing, playing games with his family, or watching sports while cheering on his alma mater, Texas A&M.
